Perl Tutorial (1)
This tutorial is created by Nik Silver in early 1990's Perl 4 and is significantly out of date. It assumes a very basic knowledge of UNIX and concentrates on how to write basic working Perl programs. It includes exercises developing a consistent theme and presents a basic Perl program. It explains in detail the syntax and the semantic of Perl language including variables, arrays and subroutines.

Perl Tutorial For System Managers
This tutorial explains the basics of Perl programming. Written by Tim Christian in 1998, this tutorial is meant for people with a moderate level of programming skills and exposure to desktop or server management. The tutorial focuses on the Win32 operating system and assumes that the latest release of Perl has been installed. It shows how to write Perl comments and statements, and explains data types and their usage.
